Kiosk Mode - Android

In order to use your Android device as a kiosk, you will need to ensure that survey-takers cannot exit your survey or the QuickTapSurvey app.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to disable the physical or on-screen buttons (i.e. Back, Home and Recent Apps) on your Android device. To turn your Android device into a kiosk, we recommend purchasing a kiosk enclosure that covers all the device's physical and on-screen buttons.

Note: If you are using a tablet that is running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher, please follow the steps in our Kiosk Mode - Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or Higher support article.

How to Set up Your Android Device as a Kiosk

1. Set an Exit Code and Timeout for your survey.

2. Maximize screen brightness and ensure that your Android is plugged in and charging.

3. Ensure that all physical and on-screen buttons are covered by a kiosk enclosure.

4. Return to QuickTapSurvey and start your survey

It should now be impossible for a survey-taker to exit the survey or the QuickTapSurvey app.
